Rules & Pathway Safety
Sunriver boasts 34 miles of paved pathways for bicycle and pedestrian use. The maximum speed on pathways is 15mph. Please recreate responsibly on Sunriver's pathways by adhering to the following:
Tunnel Etiquette
For the safety of pedestrians and cyclists, walk cycles through tunnels with gates.
Passing Safely
Pass safely on the left after giving an audible warning to those in front of you.
No Skateboards, Etc.
Skateboards, hoverboards, rollerblades/skates are prohibited on pathways.
Motor Restrictions
Class 1 pedal assist e-bikes allowed. Throttle controlled class 2/3 e-bikes, Segways, hoverboards and scooters are prohibited.
Pathway Use
Non-motorized cycles & pedestrian use only.
Maximum speed is 15MPH on pathways.
Protect Nature
Ride and walk only on surfaced pathways - not on commons or roads.
Helmets Required
Helmets are required for riders and passengers under 16 years of age (Oregon state law).
This includes youngsters riding in bike trailers.
Yield
People riding cycles must reduce speed and yield to vehicles at road crossings.
Right-Hand Side
Ride or walk on the right-hand side of pathway.
Do not block other traffic when stopped on pathway.
Right-of-Way
Pedestrians and people walking cycles have right-of-way on paths and at road crossings.
Cycling with Pets
Pets must be secured in baskets or trailers; do not ride with leashed pets alongside.
Reflectors
Headlights and red reflectors from dusk till dawn.
