Construction is ongoing to replace the old SROA Public Works "round house" with a new, more efficient building for crews and equipment. Completion is expected in October.
The project cost is estimated at $1.6 million with funds earmarked from the association's Reserve Fund. For further information or questions, please contact SROA Public Works at 541-593-2483 or email marks@srowners.org.
The new facility will improve the overall efficiency, safety and well-being of staff, including:
- Enclosed bays to keep vehicles & heavy equipment out of the elements which saves staff time of digging it out during winter snow events
- Conditioned workspaces to get out of the elements during heat or cold events, wildfire smoke days, etc.
- Efficient working spaces and tool storage
- Safer chemical and paint storage
- Additional office and locker space
- Appropriately sized and efficient breakroom
- Separate restrooms for men and women
- Proper storage space
