HOW TO APPLY FOR THE SROA BOARD of DIRECTORS

Three director positions open each year for a three-year term. The Nominating Committee encourages all Sunriver property owners – both resident and nonresident – to consider serving this great community by running for the SROA Board of Directors.

Contact a Nominating Committee member or email nominating@srowners.org to express your interest and/or find out more about the duties and the steps to becoming a candidate.

There are two ways to get your name on the ballot:

1. APPLY: Applications are available from the SROA office (57455 Abbot Drive) or from this website. The deadline to submit an application is the third Friday in March by 5pm. The Nominating Committee will review your submitted material and set up time for an interview.

2. CANDIDATE BY PETITION: SROA Bylaws also allow the option of a "Candidacy by Petition" rather than submitting an application through the SROA Nominating Committee. 100 property owner signatures are required on the petition for candidacy (one signature per property allowed). The Petition for Candidacy form will be available at the SROA office or this website the fourth week of January. The deadline for Candidacy by Petition submission is the third Monday in April at 5pm.

Candidacy Filing Dates

  • Fourth week of January: Applications available.
  • Third Friday of March by 5pm: SROA Board applications must be submitted to the Nominating Committee at the SROA office.
