From noxious weeds to ladder fuels reduction, Natural Resources is dedicated to striking a balance between human needs and the needs of a healthy, vigorous forest and meadow environment.

Sunriver’s Ladder Fuels Reduction Plan establishes guidelines that apply to all common area property and is mandatory for all private properties within the community. All properties within Sunriver are inspected for noxious weed and ladder fuels compliance on an annual basis.

• A permit with written approval is required for the removal or alteration of any trees or vegetation on your property. Complete a Tree/Vegetation Removal Request for staff to review removal and/or alterations and issue you a permit. 
• Consultation & education to reduce wildfire risks on your property (defensible space)
• Landscaping your property with native & fire resistant vegetation
• Volunteering for the annual War on Weeds annual noxious weed pull
